The Academic Link is always looking for top-notch individuals to work in our student-centered facility. Our center offers tutor and receptionist positions to qualified SU students.
Tutors
Tutors are the heart of The Academic Link, helping students one-on-one or in small study groups not only with what to learn, but how to learn.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting students with subject specific problems and questions
- Helping students develop better study and organizational skills
- Providing alternative or assistive testing when requested
- Helping students to access additional resources or services when appropriate
Qualifications:
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- A or B in the subject(s) tutored
- Faculty recommendation

Any student meeting the above criteria is welcome to apply. Because Stevenson values tutoring as an integral part of academic support, work-study eligibility is not required for tutoring positions. Front Desk Receptionists
Receptionists are truly the ambassadors of The Academic Link. We are always looking for qualified individuals to work as receptionists, who serve the students, faculty, staff, tutors, and visitors of Stevenson University by offering friendly, effective customer service. What a great opportunity for individuals to gain experience in customer relations, service coordination, MS Office applications, and professionalism.
Responsibilities include:
- Scheduling and cancelling apointments for tutoring and test administering using AccuTrack
- Assisting students, tutors, and faculty in person, via emails, and by telephone
- Maintaining orderliness in The Link
- Managing testing room
- Providing administrative assistance to The Link’s supervisors as needed
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal skills; receptionists should be friendly, courteous and respectful
- Proficiency using MS Word and other applications
- Office experience (answering the telephone, using the photocopier, etc.)
