Just for Faculty
Our services “link” students to academic success by providing them with free tutoring services, a quiet place to study alone or in a group, and test administering services for special circumstances. Faculty often use The Link to meet with their students outside of class for one-on-one or small group instruction. We encourage Faculty to become involved in The Academic Link’s mission by providing tutor recommendations and student referrals to our services. We rely on Faculty for the continued success of our center!

Here are some ways that Faculty can help:
- On the first day of class, please announce the availability of FREE tutoring services in The Academic Link, located in Knott Hall 201. Emphasize that often tutoring can make the difference in students’ grades when they seek help early.
- As the semester progresses, make a note of any students you believe would make good tutors and send their names to Christine Flax at cflax@stevenson.edu or Kaitlyn Marzullo at kmarzullo@stevenson.edu.
- Get inolved with Supplemental Instruction in your division. The Academic Link provides SI in traditionally difficult courses, and we are always looking for instructors who would be willing to participate in this invaluable program. If you are interested, please contact your Department Chair for more information.
The Academic Link also offers test administering services for students with special circumstances. Please take a moment to read the Guidelines and download our Test Administering Form. Please note the Final Exam Administering Form is a different from and must be filled out completely, including appointment date, time, and reason for the student not taking the exam with the class.
Thank you for your continued support of The Link as we strive to help SU students achieve academic success!
